A sample was taken from Brother Bearing upon arrival at the course.
Major Cyclone stumbled and fell at box rise and lost considerable ground as a result. Brother Bearing and Unquestioned collided soon after the start. Aston Latham and Unquestioned collided at the 300m mark. Aston Latham and Blue Spot collided approaching the 200m mark. Aston Latham, Blue Spot and My Name's Phil collided at the 200m mark. Unquestioned checked off Blue Spot approaching the 200m mark. Unquestioned stumbled at the 150m mark. My Names Phil and Two Face collided several times at the 100m mark.
Major Cyclone underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal wrist sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
