A pre-race sample was taken from Americano Miss.
Eat My Dust, Boston Garden and Don't Tell Bluey were slow to begin. Boston Garden and Don't Tell Bluey collided approaching the first turn checking Don't Tell Bluey. Maelynn Bale and Boston Garden collided approaching the first turn. Black Avenger was checked approaching the first turn. Black Avenger, Americano Miss and Perfectly Poised collided on the first turn checking Americano Miss and Black Avenger. Eat My Dust, Boston Garden and Don't Tell Bluey collided on the first turn checking Boston Garden and Don't Tell Bluey. Black Avenger checked off Eat My Dust on the second turn and again on the third turn. Rippin' Memphis and Americano Miss collided approaching the winning post.
Black Avenger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder, left fibula and right calf, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
