Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Yeva Bale.
Yeva Bale and Space Cadet were quick to begin. Limburg Bell was slow to begin.. Pasito Bale checked off the heels of Busted Billy on the first turn and raced wide as a result. Quetzal Bale marred Space Cadet on the home turn. Together We Can checked off Pasito Bale on the home turn. Space Cadet and Limburg Bell collided in the home straight. Pasito Bale marred Limburg Bell in the home straight.
Quetzal Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Korri-Lee Heinrich, the representative of Quetzal Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Quetzal Bale was charged with marring. Ms Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Quetzal Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
