Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Tula.
My Annabelle was quick to begin. Urbana Bale was slow to begin.
My Annabelle and Xavier's Blue collided soon after the start. Xavier's Blue checked off My Annabelle on the first turn checking Slingshot Puzzle and Zipping Tula. My Annabelle visibly eased on the first turn. Urbana Bale checked off Xavier's Blue approaching the home turn. My Annabelle checked off Xavier's Blue on the home turn.
My Annabelle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. J. Uglietta regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), My Annabelle was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Uglietta pleaded not guilty to the charge, My Annabelle was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
