Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Steven Spoljaric regarding the racing manners of Our Blue Spolly approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Spoljaric, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.

Dwarshuis and Mayhem's Quest were slow to begin.

Leo Rose and Prize Diamond collided approaching the first turn.  Mayhem's Quest checked off Prize Diamond on the first turn.  Prize Diamond, Halo Lad and Mighty Tracey collided on the first turn checking Halo Lad and Mighty Tracey.  Dwarshuis visibly eased and turned it's head inwards approaching the home turn.  Leo Rose and Dwarshuis collided on the home turn.

Mighty Tracey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Mighty Tracey must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dwarshuis underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following the event.  Dwarshuis was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. James Absalom regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dwarshuis was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Absalom pleaded guilty to the charge, Dwarshuis was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
