Steward's Report
One The Tequila and Jesse's Shout were slow to begin.
Rio Margarita and Demon Flyer collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Jesse's Shout marred On The Tequila on the home turn, checking On The Tequila.
Jesse's Shout underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg monkey and right hindleg triangle muscle injuries. A seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr John Callus, the trainer of Jesse's Shout regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Jesse's Shout was charged with marring. Mr Callus pleaded guilty to the charge, Jesse's Shout was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Grace's Shout - the winner of the event.
