Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Emma's Double.
Brother Guy, Brave Lad and Johnny Fatboy were slow to begin.
Brave Lad, Phoenix Flight and Jessie's Brew collided soon after the start. Brave Lad checked off Jessie's Brew on the first turn. Patricia's Damien and Brother Guy collided on the home turn. Patricia's Damien veered in and marred Emma's Double approaching the winning post.
Patricia's Damien underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind toe laceration. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Formosa, the trainer of Patricia's Damien regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Patricia's Damien was charged with marring. Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Patricia's Damien was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
