Steward's Report
Evaluate – New declared weight of 31.0kg, last raced at 32.3kg.
Assume Kealy stumbled at the start. Quick Paws and Lenny's Jagger collided approaching the 250m mark. Like A Hurricane and Evaluate collided approaching the 200m mark checking Like A Hurricane. Evaluate checked off Speedy Blue approaching the 150m mark. Speedy Blue visibly eased and crossed out wide approaching the 100m mark colliding with Mr. Buck Lee checking Mr. Buck Lee and Plumb.
Speedy Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12. Speedy Blue was found to have injuries to the left shoulder and left deltoid muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Maureen Turner, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Speedy Blue was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Turner pleaded guilty to the charge, Speedy Blue was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
