Steward's Report
Variation was quick to begin. Diesel Runner and Master Febey collided on the first turn checking Master Febey. Kutcher’s Ruslie crossed to the rail entering the back straight severely checking Hustle Hard and Master Febey, checking Madalia Mick, Hustle Hard faltered as a result and subsequently pulled up. Rose’s Honey was checked off Variation approaching the home turn.
Hustle Hard underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanased.
A post race sample was taken from Kutcher’s Ruslie - winner of the event.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track entering the back straight and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
