Pre-race samples were taken from Tiggerlong Jet and Weblec Flame.
Weblec Flame was quick to begin. Tiggerlong Jet was slow to begin.
Pansy Parkinson, Perfectly Poised and Dr. Dean collided soon after the start. Pansy Parkinson and Lunar Star collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Weblec Flame, Perfectly Poised and Greysynd Shock collided on the first turn checking Perfectly Poised and Greysynd Shock. Dr. Dean and Tiggerlong Jet collided on the first turn. Lunar Star and Greysynd Shock collided entering the back straight checking Greysynd Shock.
