Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

The Stewards were advised that the track was deeply harrowed on Thursday 23rd of September.

El Senor Verde was slow to begin.

Big John and Vortex collided soon after the start. Big John crossed to the running rail approaching the first turn, checking Viatrix, Sunday Sip, Lochinvar Jazz and El Senor Verde. Lochinvar Jazz checked off Vortex on the first turn, checking Sunday Sip and El Senor Verde. Sunday Sip clipped the heels of Lochinvar Jazz entering the home straight. Viatrix and Vortex collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Darren Petersen regarding the racing manners of Vortex in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Petersen, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Zippy Audi and Funky Felix collided soon after the start. Kick It Home and Flying Nancy collided soon after the start. Trending Power and Calix Bale collided several times approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Calix Bale checked off Trending Power on the first turn. Zippy Audi and Trending Power collided on the first turn. Trending Power checked off Flying Nancy entering the home straight and collided with Still In Love; causing Funky Felix and Still In Love to race wide.

The start of this race was re-scheduled from 7.41pm to 7.43pm as requested by Sky Channel.

Aston Knox – Late scratching at 2.09pm when Mr. B. Magri reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Blackpool Bart was quick to begin. Bingo Ringo was slow to begin. 

Bingo Ringo checked off Aston Burton soon after the start. Purple Storm checked off Blackpool Bart approaching the first turn. Aston Burton and Purple Storm collided on the first turn, checking Purple Storm. Purple Storm checked off Bingo Ringo in the home straight. 

The start of this race was re-scheduled from 7.59pm to 8.00pm as requested by Sky Channel.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. George regarding the scratching of Kilpatrick (Box 6) from this event. Stewards noted that Mr. George also had Kroos (Box 4) engaged. After the scratching of Kilpatrick, Kross was afforded two empty boxes to its outside. Mr. George stated that he had both greyhounds checked late last night and Kilpatrick was found to have a slight tear in its back muscle. Mr. George added that he scratched the greyhound first thing this morning as a result of the injury. Stewards noted Mr. George's comments and took no further action. 

Habib and Kroos collided approaching the first turn, checking Habib. I'm Easy Boys, Kraken Spike and Kroos collided on the first turn, checking Kraken Spike and Kroos. Kroos checked off Suvla Bay in the home straight.

Propelled and Indy Fido were slow to begin.

Jet Legger, Indy Korie, Ice Star and My Name's Jock collided approaching the first turn. Indy Fido, Propelled and Cindy Fuso collided on the first turn, checking Cindy Fuso. Ice Star and Indy Korie collided on the first turn, checking Ice Star. My Name's Jock brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Indy Fido checked off My Name's Jock on the home turn. Propelled checked off  My Name's Jock entering the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Toby Castle - the winner of the event.

Gypsy Toowoomba – Late scratching at 12.29pm when Ms. A. Dailly reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Gypsy Urana, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Blazer Glory, Emani Bale and Forever A Dream were slow to begin. 

Rock On Jimmy and Gypsy Urana collided soon after the start. Rock On Jimmy checked off Gypsy Urana on the first turn, checking Emani Bale. Gypsy Urana and Forever A Dream collided on the second turn. Rock On Jimmy and Emani Bale collided on the third turn. Kraken Pearler galloped on the heels of Yahoo Serious in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Forever A Dream raced wide in the home straight. 

Zivon Bale – New declared weight of 30.3 kg, last raced at 32.1 kg.

Trending Air and Zipping Slade were slow to begin. 

Trending Air and Peponi Bale collided soon after the start. Zivon Bale brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Zivon Bale checked off Tranding Air on the first turn. Ripplebrook Rory, Irene's A Star and Westar Misty collided on the first turn, checking Irene's A Star. Zivon Bale, Trending Air and Irene's A Star collided entering the home straight. Trending Air and Irene's A Star collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Rambo - the winner of the event.

Showtime Boomer was slow to begin.

Showtime Boomer checked off Rollo Ragnar on the first turn. Instruction and Graclyn Bale collided on the first turn, checking Instruction. Sharni's My Girl, Graclyn Bale and Parzival collided entering the back straight, severely checking Graclyn Bale, which fell as a result. Rollo Ragnar faltered in the back straight and fell as a result. Fernando's Quest, Instruction and Sharni's My Girl collided on the third turn, checking Instruction. Parzival checked off Graclyn Bale on the home turn. 

Gracyln Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cervico thoracic injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Rollo Ragnar underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected spinal fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the back straight and were satisfied it was suitable for racing.

Kaiden, Fab Six and Nitro Georgie collided soon after the start. Kaiden and Fab Six collided approaching the first turn, checking Kaiden. Zimmer Bale, Nitro Georgie and Aston Dynasty collided on the first turn, severely checking Nitro Georgie, which tailed off as a result. Fab Six checked off Short Tyson on the home turn and again entering home straight. 

Nitro Georgie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right metatarsal fracture.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

More Speed was slow to begin.

Gypsy Vista and Indy Ghost collided approaching the first turn. Indy Juno and Indy Ghost collided on the first turn, checking Indy Juno.

Fire And Fury was quick to begin. Sailor's Girl, Kanji Height and Trendy Universe were slow to begin.

Ricky Racoon underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen - no apparent injury was reported.
