Aston Ariarne and Meet Winston were quick to begin.

Quebec Bale, Quarter Bale and Bearish were slow to begin.

Aston Ariarne and Meet Winston collided soon after the start. Fleet Feel Pete, Meet Winston and Aston Ariarne collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Ariarne. Here Comes Pete, Quebec Bale, Meet Winston, Fleet Feet Pete, Quarter Bale and Bearish collided on the first turn causing Here Comes Pie to fall and severely checking Quebec Bale and Meet Winston. Fleet Feet Pete and Quarter Bale collided approaching the second turn.

Night Patrol – Late scratching at 10.55am when Mr Robert Conway reported the greyhound to have a virus (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Pot Luck Chuck.

Tiggerlong Flyer and Aston Wise were quick to begin.

Pot Luck Chuck and Tiggerlong Flyer collided soon after the start checking Pot Luck Chuck. Pot Luck Chuck and Onix Bale collided on the second turn checking Onix Bale. Pot Luck Chuck and Tiggerlong Flyer collided in the back straight. Tiggerlong Flyer checked off Pot Luck Chuck approaching the third turn. Onix Bale checked off Pot Luck Chuck on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Harley Ryder - the winner of the event.

An out of competition sample was taken from Wizardry Things on the 21st September pursuant to GAR 79A.

Gracie's Joy was quick to begin. Audenzia was slow to begin. Gracie's Joy and Wizardry Things collided approaching the first turn, on the first turn and again on the second turn. Audenzia checked off Gracie's Joy approaching the third turn. Gracie's Joy severely checked off Wizardry Things on the third turn and raced wide entering the home straight. Tiggerlong Water was clipped on the heals when approaching the home turn, then shortly after eased and turned its head outwards on the home turn. Wizardry Things marred Tiggerlong Water when rounding the home turn and entering the home straight. Spray On Billy shifted inwards checking Audenzia when entering the home straight and then marred Wizadry Things and Tiggerlong Water

Wizardry Things underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left shin soreness.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Brad Keel regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Wizardry Things was charged with marring. Mr Keel pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wizardry Things was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tiggerlong Water underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury and right shin soreness.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr Correy Grenfell regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Tiggerlong Water was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Grenfell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Tiggerlong Water was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Spray On Billy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Gary Cowcher regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Spray On Billy was charged with marring. Mr Cowcher pleaded guilty to the charge and was suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hyperfine and Bonnie Too Good were quick to begin.

Center and Agnet Bale collided on the first turn. Center and Curator collided several times in the back straight. Bonnie Too Good and Curator collided approaching the winning post.

Arby's Lucy, Cayden Bale and Lakeview Lola were quick to begin.

My Envy and Spencer Giblet were slow to begin.

Roxy Quaker and Arby's Lucy collided soon after the start. Zac's Entity and Lakeview Lola collided on the first turn. Lakeview Lola and Spencer Giblet collided on the fourth turn checking Spencer Giblet.

Spencer Giblet underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Sunstruck was slow to begin.

Orson Emmy and Zambora Alani collided soon after the start checking Orson Emmy. Xavi Bale and Amber Beauty collided soon after the start. Xavi Bale checked off Amber Beauty on the first turn and collided with Zambora Alani checking both greyhounds. Orson Emmy raced wide on the second turn.

Galloping Speed – Late scratching at 1:03pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Robert Conway was fined $100.

Oberon Bale and Leeky Lee were quick to begin.

Zipping Loxley and Spearhead were slow to begin.

Zipping Loxley checked off Spearhead approaching the first turn. Leeky Lee and Zipping Loxley collided approaching the second turn. Leeky Lee checked off Oberon Bale on the third turn. Leeky Lee and Zipping Loxley collided approaching the home turn.

Smooth Talker was slow to begin.

Mepunga Sparkle and Sunnyside Pride collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Sparkle, Sunnyside Pride, Just Wins Boss and Delancy Bale. Smooth Talker checked off Rezzie's Choice approaching the third turn. Mepunga Sparkle and Just Wins Boss collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Dundee Zircon, Jumping Jack and Orson Ruby were quick to begin. Aqua Blaze and Kuta Cowboy collided approaching the first turn. Dundee Zircon and Jumping Jack collided on the first turn. Aqua Blaze and Kuta Cowboy collided on the first turn, on the third turn and again approaching the winning post.

Trust I Seek was quick to begin.
