Steward's Report
Hustle Hard was slow to begin. Flywheel Dolly and Aston Sonic collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Flywheel Dolly. Hustle Hard, Stiff Wind, Broady Lights and Massimo collided on the first turn checking Massimo and Broady Lights. Hot Diesel and Miss Demonica collided on the first turn. Aston Sonic clipped the heels of Miss Demonica approaching the home turn. Miss Demonica galloped on Hot Diesel approaching the home turn checking Aston Sonic and Miss Demonica and severely checking Hot Diesel which fell as a result. Massimo and Miss Demonica collided approaching the home turn.
Hot Diesel underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Plumridge regarding the racing manners of Hot Diesel on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Plumridge, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.
