Steward's Report
Fitzroy Bale was slow to begin.
Mars Rover underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and right wrist. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. S. Barker, regarding Mars Rover racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mars Rover was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Barker pled guilty to the charge, Mars Rover was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from On The Run - the winner of the event.
