Steward's Report
Major Bomber underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left hind; a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Brian Hodgson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Major Bomber was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Hodgson pleaded guilty to the charge, Major Bomber was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Rare Sapphire – the winner of the event.
