Steward's Report
Ziems Park Miss – Late scratching at 7.37am due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr S Kando informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr S Kando that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
The start of this event was delayed four minutes due to a lure malfunction. It was established that the automated run up button had failed to activate. This resulted in all greyhounds being removed from the starting boxes and being vetted. All greyhounds were passed fit to start. The lure was then tested and deemed satisfactory for use. The race then commenced at 10:04am.
Aston Ryker was quick to begin.
