Steward's Report

Westar Aileen – Late scratching at 7:55 am when Mr Jeffrey Britton reported the greyhound to have a diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Not Happening.

So Predictable was slow to begin.

Following the event Aston Ulysses displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria and a laceration to the left hindleg toe. A five day stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Christina Abela, the representative of Aston Ulysses and advised her that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.
