Alicah collided with Newport Flyer on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Newport Flyer collided with Alicah on the first turn and fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Derry Girl and Latham Bale were quick to begin.  Jimmy Intention, Lana Intention and White Whale were slow to begin.

Jimmy Intention which fell on the second turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg biceps and deltoid muscle injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Latham Bale turned its head outwards and marred Stone in the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Mr Nathan Hunt, the trainer of Latham Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Latham Bale was charged with marring.  Mr Hunt pleaded guilty to the charge and Latham Bale was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start was delayed by approximately one and a half minutes due to operational matters.

Kanji Exiled was quick to begin.  Kanji Service was slow to begin. 

A post-race sample was taken from Natteo Bale - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Unleaded Diesel.

Unleaded Diesel and Little Chills were quick to begin.  Ryebuck Tears was slow to begin.

Jamaica Me Happy turned its head inwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury; a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Brooke Ennis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Jamaica Me Happy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Ennis pleaded guilty to the charge, Jamaica Me Happy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Melissa Keeping – Late scratching at 7:31 am when Mr Matthew Lanigan reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Galaxy and Nicmac Miss were quick to begin.

Brothers In Arms was slow to begin.

Nana Judy collided with Brothers In Arms and fell on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Golden Teddy was quick to begin.  Affair Bit and Pure Promise were slow to begin.

Nino's Girl which tailed off in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle muscle injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr Keith Lloyd, the trainer of Nino's Girl regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr Lloyd to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Nino's Girl in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Where's Lesley – Late scratching at 7:33 am when Mr Peter Dunlevey reported the greyhound to have an diarrhoea (GAR 76).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Wilson Bale – Late scratching at 2:14 pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a spike wound to the left hindleg paw.  A three day stand down period was imposed.

Fernando Mick was quick to begin. Zipping Crusader was slow to begin.

Rare Sapphire and Orbital Bale were slow to begin.

Westar Aileen – Late scratching at 7:55 am when Mr Jeffrey Britton reported the greyhound to have a diarrhoea (GAR 76).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

So Predictable was slow to begin.

Following the event Aston Ulysses displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).  As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria and a laceration to the left hindleg toe.  A five day stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Christina Abela, the representative of Aston Ulysses and advised her that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future events.

Soda Success and Maximum Shirley were quick to begin.  Here Comes Pie was slow to begin.
