Steward's Report
Derry Girl and Latham Bale were quick to begin. Jimmy Intention, Lana Intention and White Whale were slow to begin.
Jimmy Intention which fell on the second turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg biceps and deltoid muscle injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Latham Bale turned its head outwards and marred Stone in the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Nathan Hunt, the trainer of Latham Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Latham Bale was charged with marring. Mr Hunt pleaded guilty to the charge and Latham Bale was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
