Vindicated and Blazin’ Lass were quick to begin.  Yield was slow to begin.  Juliette and Intrepid Cruiser collided approaching the first turn.  Fleet Feet Pete, Juliette and Intrepid Cruiser collided on the first turn checking Juliette.  Dundee Silk galloped on Intrepid Cruiser on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds; Intrepid Cruiser faltered as a result and subsequently pulled up. Fleet Feet Pete and Blazin’ Lass collided entering the home straight.

Intrepid Cruiser underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Just One Moment and Starlight Tyson were quick to begin.  Black Beaver was slow to begin. Revolution underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hock.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Bearing Gold – Late scratching at 2.49pm when trainer, Mr Christoper Watson reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Mr Peter Martinovic failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Drakensberg Dot for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Chilly Bin was slow to begin.  Bon Yogi crossed to the rails on the first turn causing Drakensberg Dot to gallop on Bon Yogi, checking both greyhounds. Beers On Brody was checked off Drakensberg Dot on the first turn causing Beers On Brody, Chilly Bin and  Extreme Harriet to collide checking Beers On Brody and Extreme Harriet.  Cha Cha Again and Chilly Bin collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Bon Yogi and Extreme Harriet collided in the home straight checking Bon Yogi.  Bon Yogi and Beers On Brody collided approaching the winning post.

Bon Yogi underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on the right hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.

Migration was quick to begin.  Shifty and Grumpy Al collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Shifting Sands faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Shifty and Grand Mac collided on the first turn.  Grand Mac clipped the heels of Just Burning approaching the home turn.  Grand Mac and Take A Daisy collided on the home turn.  Grumpy Al and Shifty collided in the home straight.

Shifting Sands underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
