Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Florida Quay and Pyrenees Prada were quick to begin.

Storm Raptor, Go Flo and Whiz Out collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Pyrenees Prada and Florida Quay collided on the first turn checking Florida Quay.

Ms Fleur Terry failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Go Flo for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Mystic Muse and Dr. Perry were quick to begin.  El Senor Verde and Mahogany Flame were slow to begin.

Dr. Perry, Emma's Image, Parasite and Time Turner collided approaching the first turn checking Emma's Image, Parasite and Time Turner.  Buzz Out checked off Mahogany Flame approaching the first turn.  Dr. Perry and Mystic Muse collided on the first turn.

Blazer Nation, White Nikita and Gem Victorem collided soon after the start checking White Nikita and Gem Victorem.  Florentino and Mars Rover collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Johnny Fatboy checked off White Nikita on the first turn.  Gem Victorem and Blue Cherry Miss collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.

Crumb Snags was slow to begin.

Mahogany Queen and Red Mahogany collided on the first turn checking Red Mahogany.  Red Mahogany checked off Tiger Blurton on the second turn.  

Tig was quick to begin.  Annie My Mate was slow to begin.

Toyed and Tig collided on the first turn.  Aston Remi and Mahogany Storm collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Toyed and Tig raced wide in the home straight.

Tig underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left flexor tendon injury and a spike wound to the right front foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Trent Blacker regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Blacker, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Loch and On The Air were slow to begin.

Loch brushed the running rail on the first turn and lost ground.  Barbados Dream checked off Blackpool Storm approaching the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Went For Swim - winner of the event. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Inga Mia on 13 August 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Chloe Exotic checked off Alpine Blaze soon after the start.  Tiggerlong Ginga checked off Alpine Blaze soon after the start.  Inga Mia, Double Tactic, Maelynn Bale and Fray's Courage collided approaching the first turn.  Tiggerlong Ginga checked off Fray's Courage approaching the first turn.  Tiggerlong Ginga and Chloe Exotic collided entering the back straight.  Maelynn Bale checked off Alpine Blaze on the second turn.  Alpine Blaze and Inga Mia collided entering the home straight.

Alpine Blaze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr John Galea regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Galea, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Nana Judy – Late scratching at 11.42am when Trainer Mrs Elizabeth Lloyd reported the greyhound to have a laceration (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tillotson.

Only Dream was quick to begin.  Ronnie Armo was slow to begin.

Tillotson visibly eased on the first turn.  Ronnie Armo and Call Me Buddy collided approaching the home turn.  Press On and Only Dream collided approaching the home turn checking Only Dream.  Tillotson visibly eased on the home turn.  Tillotson and Winlock At Large collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking Winlock At Large.

Winlock At Large underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Tillotson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr Craig Elliot declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.  Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Elliot regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn and on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Tillotson was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Elliot pleaded guilty to the charge, Tillotson was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and GAR 72 , before any future nomination will be accepted.

It's A Brew, Grey Not Blue and Cawbourne Cheeky were quick to begin.  Burning Up was slow to begin.

Mahomes and Craftsman collided approaching the first turn.  It's A Brew and Grey Not Blue collided on the first turn checking Grey Not Blue.  Craftsman checked off Mahomes on the first turn.  Grey Not Blue and Mahomes collided on the first turn checking Grey Not Blue, Mahomes, Cawbourne Cheeky, Craftsman and Maximum Cook.  

Cool And Deadly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right stopper injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Bold Voyager was quick to begin.  Fascinate Candy was slow to begin.

Runing For Juddy and Ruby Arizona collided approaching the first turn checking Ruby Arizona.  King Brown and Gypsy Andy collided on the first turn.  Bold Voyager and King Brown collided on the home turn checking Bold Voyager, King Brown and Ruby Arizona.  

Bold Voyager underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Fisher, the owner/representative regarding the greyhounds performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Bold Voyager must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.  In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr. Fisher to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Bold Voyager in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Aston Shadow and Euchre John were slow to begin.

Livia Bale and See Me Bespoked collided approaching the first turn checking See Me Bespoked.  Max McCartin, Aston Shadow and Ultimate Mayhem collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Euchre John and Livia Bale collided on the first turn checking Livia Bale. 

A post-race sample was taken from Happy Lass - winner of the event.
