A pre-race sample was taken from Especial Elise.
Lightning Gadget was slow to begin. Black Power and Especial Elise collided soon after the start. Black Power and Stuart Lee Rose collided on the first turn checking Stuart Lee Rose. Stuart Lee Rose, Pat My Lass, Especial Elise and Lightning Gadget collided approaching the home turn severely checking Especial Elise and Lightning Gadget. Stuart Lee Rose and Pat My Lass collided approaching the home turn checking Stuart Lee Rose. Especial Elise was checked off Stuart Lee Rose on the home turn. Pat My Lass and Lightning Gadget collided on the home turn. Pat My Lass was checked off Lightning Gadget in the home straight.
