Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff and participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face masks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
The closing time of kennelling was altered in accordance with GAR 31 due to the late arrival of Ms S. Elmes. Prior to kennelling Ms Elmes telephoned to advise that she had a vehicle issue. The kennels closed at 2.09pm.
Emma's Will - New declared weight of 26.7kgs, last raced at 25.3kgs.
Stewards delayed the 'All Clear' in order to review the positioning of the lure in the event, with reference to GAR 55 (1). After reviewing all available video footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards were satisfied that no runner was substantially inconvenienced so as to affect the outcome of the event and therefore the 'All-Clear' was declared.
Emma's Will and Eynesbury Flyer were quick to begin. Chasing The Edge was slow to begin.
Star Daze, Elvis Osti and Shadow Giblet collided approaching the first turn checking Star Daze. Elvis Osti and Shadow Giblet collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Shadow Giblet crossed in on the first turn checking Elvis Osti, Star Daze, Mt. View Moon and Chasing The Edge causing Mt. View Moon to brush the running rail. Mt. View Moon and Star Daze collided on the home turn checking Star Daze causing Elvis Osti and Chasing The Edge to race wide.
