Steward's Report
Essential persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore face-masks, observed social distance requirements and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Killshot and Eye Spy Skye collided soon after the start. Kiwi Billy and Blazin’ Sushi collided approaching the first turn checking Blazin’ Sushi. Blazin’ Sushi and Satanic Mikado collided on the first turn. Tsunami Oubre and Eye Spy Skye collided on the first turn. Flywheel Cracker visibly eased on the first turn and collided several times with Tsunami Oubre. Eye Spy Skye and Flywheel Cracker collided entering the home straight.
Flywheel Cracker underwent a post race veterinary examination and was re-examined after race 3, no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Bye, the trainer of Flywheel Cracker regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Flywheel Cracker was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due committment. Mr. Bye pleaded not guilty to the charge, Flywheel Cracker was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 , before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head on vision of the back straight for this event.
