Explosive Yaala– Late scratching at 19.31 when Mr. J. Wickham reported the greyhound to have toe injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Blue Yaala– Late scratching at 19.32 when Mr. J. Wickham reported the greyhound to have toe split webbing (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lily Rose Jazz.

Meeting Comments:
Stewards today opened and adjourned an Inquiry with licensed Trainer, Mr. Jason Wickham, into the circumstances leading into and surrounding the late withdrawals of all greyhounds engaged at Healesville today, namely Cool Kat (Race 3), Explosive Yaala (Race 12) and Blue Yaala (Race 12). Stewards also directed Mr. Wickham present the three greyhounds at Geelong today (3/8/21) for examination by the on-course Veterinarian in accordance with GAR 23(3).
Addendum: Stewards, on Wednesday, 4 August, 2021, concluded an inqiry with Mr. Jason Wickham following the three withdrawals of his greyhounds engaged at Healesville on Tuesday, 3 August, 2021. In finalising their inquiries, Stewards took into consideration, Mr. Wickham's compliance under GAR 23(3) in which he presented Cool Kat, Explosive Yaala and Blue Yaala for veterinary examination at Geelong on 3 August, 2021 by GRV Chief Veterinary Officer - Dr. Steve Karamatic. Stewards accepted the findings and report from Dr.Karamatic, however, did issue a warning to Mr. Wickham for failing to check his greyhounds prior to scratching deadline pursuant to GAR23(1)(a).
