Fargo - Late scratching at 15:12 when Ms. Emily McMahon - trainer reported the greyhound to have an injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to representative Ms J. Gill regarding the late scratching of Fargo in this event. Stewards accepted her explanation.
Stuart Lee Rose, Aston Pinot, Bidgee Boy and Four Aces collided soon after the start. Bidgee Boy checked off Four Aces approaching the first turn. Stuart Lee Rose checked off Aston Rocket on the first turn. Stuart Lee Rose and Aston Pinot collided on the first turn checking Stuart Lee Rose. Bidgee Boy and Four Aces collided on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide as a result.
Stuart Lee Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Sharon-Lee Chignell regarding the racing manners of Stuart Lee Rose on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Ms. Chignell, viewing all available footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
