Classy Stringer checked off Going Viral approaching the first turn. Going Viral and All Inn Freeman collided on the first turn; checking both greyhounds. High Plain and Aston Roxy collided on the first turn; checking High Plain, Aston Roxy and Aston Select. High Plain and Tinker Count collided in the home straight.
High Plain underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hindleg paw and a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A three day stand down period was imposed.
