Merge Left underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg and right elbow abrasions, and a spike wound to right hindleg.  A three day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Chilcott, the trainer of Merge Left regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Merge Left was charged with marring.  Mr Chilcott pleaded not guilty to the charge, Merge Left was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Curator brushed the running rail approaching the first turn.  Palmer River and Donny Rocks collided ont he first turn; checking both greyhounds.  Curator checked off Tall Tales on the home turn.  Curator and Hill Top collided entering the home straight.

Coconut Miss – Late scratching at 11:55 am when Mr Paul Gabriel reported the greyhound to have a back muscle injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bravery, Mepunga Ruby, Affair Bit and Pheme collided on the first turn.  Whodat Diva and Resurgence collided approaching the second turn.  Whodat Diva, Resurgence and Pheme collided on the second turn; checking all three greyhounds.  Pheme checked off Whodat Diva on the third turn.

Post-race samples were taken from Mepunga Ruby (1st) and Major Sacrifice (2nd).

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Mr G Glass and Mr R Glass did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

Gunai Outlaw, Aston Flame, Jazz Opera, Time For Peace, Gunai Rebel and Classy Sammy collided on the first turn; checking Gunai Outlaw, Aston Flame, Jazz Opera, Time For Peace and Gunai Rebel; severely checking Classy Sammy.  Aston Flame and Jazz Opera collided on the home turn.

Classy Sammy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have be displaying thumps and a right foreleg monkey muscle injury.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

All Inn Dungee was slow to begin.

All Inn Dungee and Up The Amount collided on the first turn.  I'm Easy Boys and Kraken Doll collided approaching the second turn.  Bessie's Daisy checked off Kraken Doll on the second turn, checking I'm Easy Boys.  Up The Amount checked off Run Like Jess on the home turn.  All Inn Dungee marred Drumroll Please in the home straight.

All Inn Dungee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hindleg paw, left and right forleg latissimus dorsi/trapezius muscle and right hindleg hip injuries.  A five day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Duncan, the trainer of All Inn Dungee regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) All Inn Dungee was charged with marring.  Mr Duncan pleaded guilty to the charge, All Inn Dungee was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A false start was declared for this event due to a technical malfunction. The start of this event was delayed by approximately 3 minutes, with all greyhounds being re-vetted and cleared to start.
