Exford Norm and Blazing Bourbon were slow to begin.

Exford Norm and Blazing Bourbon collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Exford Norm checked off Tinker Joy on the first turn. Arby's Phoebe checked off Spice Tears on the home turn. Flying Torpedo and Tinker Joy collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Hooman – Late scratching at 2.08pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left foreleg lost/torn nail. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

West On Klinger – Late scratching at 2.28pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to left foreleg abraded paw pad/webbing.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Blazing Alabama and Barooga Toy collided soon after the start. Barooga Toy and Big Chance Mate collided on the first turn checking Barooga Toy. 

Rev Up Freddy was slow to begin.

Blazing Arizona and Acacia Dream collided on the first turn checking Blazing Arizona. Acacia Dream checked off Rev Up Freddy on the home turn.

Cloudy Diamond and Zen Ablaze collided approaching the winning post checking Zen Ablaze.

Another Vendetta and Candy Storm collided soon after the start. Tinker Ray, Another Vendetta and Candy Storm collided approaching the first turn checking Another Vendetta, Candy Storm and Robber Prince. Tinker Matt crossed to the rail on the first turn. Tinker Matt tired in the home straight. 

Tinker Matt underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have thumps. No stand down period was imposed.

Fairytale Poppy was slow to begin.

Sugar Boloney checked off Spearhead Joe on the first turn. Bluey McGee checked off Tokyo Ted on the first turn checking Sugar Boloney. Bluey McGee and Sugar Boloney collided on the first turn checking Bluey McGee.

Knight Zipper – New declared weight of 32.0 kg, last raced at 30.2 kg.

Riverdale Bonnie was slow to begin.

Go Wheels and Who Did That collided on the first turn checking Go Wheels, Barooga Franky and Knight Zipper and severely checking Who Did That which stumbled as a result.

Who Did That underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Just In Time and Euchre John collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Made Me Blind checked off Blow Me Kisses on the first turn. Made Me Blind galloped on Blow Me Kisses on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Euchre John raced wide entering the home straight. Euchre John checked off Made Me Blind approaching the winning post checking Bad Bailey.

Stewards today concluded an Inquiry via telephone link into the racing manners of Sweet Suzie at Geelong on 3 April, 2021.  After viewing all available video footage and taking into consideration evidence from Mr. R. Coleman, and hearing comments from Mrs. D Coleman, Stewards issued a warning regarding the racing manners of Sweet Suzie during the running of Event 9 at Geelong on Saturday, 3 April.  In assessing the matter, Stewards took into consideration the actions of Mega Heist towards Sweet Suzie which was dealt with on the day.
