Steward's Report
Mighty Marshall was quick to begin.
Black Canvas and Lightning Gadget collided on the first turn. Lightning Gadget checked off Black Canvas entering the back straight. Prince Cody checked off Another Episode on the second turn. Rothwell Prince turned its head inwards in the home straight and collided with Stan's Hope.
Rothwell Prince underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Rothwell Prince was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Nash pleaded guilty to the charge, Rothwell Prince was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
