Viking Junior and Osprey Phantom collided soon after the start.  Osprey Phantom, Rufiano and Bernadette collided soon after the start.  Northern Era and Dr. Francisco collided on the first turn.  Osprey Phantom and Rufiano collided on the first turn.  Viking Junior and Bernadette collided approaching the second turn checking Bernadette.  Got Him Yes, Rufiano and Northern Era collided on the second turn checking Rufiano and Northern Era.  Rufiano and Bernadette collided on the third turn.  Dr. Francisco and Northern Era collided entering the home straight.  Bernadette and Northern Era collided in the home straight.  Rufiano marred Got Him Yes in the home straight.

Rufiano underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Rodney Ashworth regarding the greyhound’s racing manner in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Rufiano was charged with marring.  Mr Ashworth pleaded guilty to the charge, Rufiano was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Eat My Dust.

Osprey Rose and Black Eyed Peas collided soon after the start.  Black Eyed Peas, Eat My Dust and Blazer Glory collided soon after the start checking Black Eyed Peas and Blazer Glory.  Kiwi Billy and Eat My Dust collided approaching the first turn checking Kiwi Billy.  Blazer Glory and Bell Burner collided approaching the first turn.  Dr. Lysandra and Osprey Rose collided on the first turn.  Blazer Glory and Bell Burner collided on the first turn.  Blazer Glory and Bell Burner collided entering the back straight checking Bell Burner.  Eat My Dust checked off Dr. Lysandra in the home straight checking Osprey Rose and Blazer Glory.

Swing High was slow to begin.

Snow Angel and Dr. Jax collided soon after the start checking Dr. Jax.  Zambora Alani, Minter Edition, Snow Angel and Perfectly Poised collided on the first turn checking Snow Angel and Perfectly Poised.  Just A Minute checked off Minter Edition on the first turn.  Snow Angel checked off Minter Edition approaching the second turn colliding with Perfectly Poised, checking both greyhounds.  Perfectly Poised checked off Snow Angel on the second turn.  

Enabler - New declared weight of 32.5kg, last start (satisfactory trial) 31.1kgs.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Dr. Neeki, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Peaky Blazer was slow to begin.

Enabler began awkwardly.  Crowdza Back and Bowie collided soon after the start.  Bowie checked off Enabler on the first turn checking Crowdza Back.  Enabler lost ground on the third turn as the greyhound attempted to correct its muzzle.  Crowdza Back galloped on Bowie approaching the home turn.  Peaky Blazer and Bowie collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.  

Enabler underwent a post-race veterinary examination as the greyhound competed in the event with its muzzle lodged in its teeth. Enabler and was found to have a torn dew claw on the right foreleg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sherwood Bale.

Write About Her, Battlers Three and Diesel Runner collided soon after the start checking Battlers Three.  Diesel Runner, Blazer Edition and Write About Her collided on the first turn checking Blazer Edition and Write About Her.  Write About Her and Sherwood Bale raced wide on the first turn.  Blue Gal and Battlers Three collided approaching the home turn.

Dr. Danika, Leo's My Champ and Just Augusta collided approaching the first turn checking Leo's My Champ.  Dr. Danika and Just Augusta collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Jane Way checked off Patches Colour on the first turn.

Leo's My Champ– Stewards have observed the behaviour of the greyhound over several starts and were satisfied that the greyhound is no longer required to wear an anti-aggression muzzle. Stewards will continue to monitor the greyhound's behaviour in future events.

A pre-race sample was taken from Invictus Kelly.

Invictus Kelly and Minter Explode were slow to begin.

Aston Vogue, Pacific Lass and Two Pars collided soon after the start.  Aston Vogue and Two Pars collided on the first turn checking Two Pars.  Mahomes raced wide on the first turn.  Minter Explode and Gippsland Storms collided on the first turn checking Minter Explode.  Aston Vogue and Pacific Lass collided approaching the second turn.  Invictus Kelly checked off Gippsland Storms on the third turn.  Pacific Lass checked off Gregarious on the third turn.  Gippsland Storms checked off Two Pars approaching the home turn.  Invictus Kelly faltered entering the home straight.

Invictus Kelly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left wrist and left monkey muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Chop Scotch, Spun Out and Javi collided in the front straight.  Rear View Mirror, Kiss Me Kate & Indian Shadow collided approaching the first turn checking Kiss Me Kate.  Spun Out checked off More Deductions on the first turn.  Rear View Mirror and Indian Shadow collided on the first turn.  Indian Shadow and Javi collided on the first turn.  Kiss Me Kate checked off Indian Shadow on the third turn.  

A post-race sample was taken from Chop Scotch - the winner of the event.
