Steward's Report
Patches Colour and Captain Cruiser collided on the first turn severely checking Patches Colour. Cosmic Vigilante visibly eased on the first turn. Kibitzer and That’s Easy collided entering the home straight.
Cosmic Vigilante underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. A. Wood regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Cosmic Vigilante was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Wood pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cosmic Vigilante was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted

There was no head on vision of the back straight for this event.
