Steward's Report
Full Recovery was slow to begin. Break The Chains, Sophia Grove and Just Augusta collided approaching the first turn. Sophia Grove and Dundee Candy collided on the first turn. Break The Chains galloped on Sophia Grove approaching the home turn. Full Recovery and Captain Goldie collided entering the home straight. Break The Chains marred Sophia Grove in the home straight causing Sophia Grove to contact the running rail and subsequently pull up; Break The Chains tailed off as a result.
Sophia Grove underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil/ whip muscle injury and abraded front paws. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Break The Chains underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil/ whip muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mrs Debbie Selleck regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Break The Chains was charged with marring. Mrs Selleck pleaded guilty to the charge, Break The Chains was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
