All persons (GRV & Club Staff, Licensed Participants & limited general public) attending the venue today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 20.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.8 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on Thursday 18 February 2021. 

Kennels closed approximately 5 minutes after the advertised time due to Mr L. Wright presenting Inga Assalt late to kennels. Mr Wright was issued a warning.

Crumb Snags was slow to begin.

Roxy Rum Pumper and Zipping Trish collided soon after the start checking Zipping Trish. Crumb Snags and Snapper Smith collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. 

A pre-race sample was taken from King Brown.

Inga Assalt was quick to begin. Magic Daisy was slow to begin. King Brown and Rouge Temptation collided approaching the first turn. Our Ando and Inga Assalt collided on the first turn checking Inga Assalt and Rouge Temptation. Our Ando checked off Card Declined approaching the home turn. Our Ando and Card Declined collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds, Card Declined raced wide as a result. King Brown and Magic Daisy collided approaching the winning post checking Magic Daisy. 

Pride Into Power was quick to begin.

Oriental Jade and Madame Pookie collided soon after the start checking Madame Pookie. Oriental Jade checked off Pyrenees Spirit on the first turn. Beguille and Pyrenees Spirit collided on the first turn checking Beguile, Pyrenees Spirit, Oriental Jade and Madame Pookie.

Beguile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion near the eye. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Dim Sim – New declared weight of 30.5 kg, last raced at 28.8 kg.

Oriental Amber was slow to begin.

Slingshot Titan checked off Blackpool Bolt soon after the start checking Dim Sim. Slingshot Titan checked off Benchester on the first turn. Zulu Eyes galloped on Benchester on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Blackpool Bolt checked off Oriental Amber approaching the home turn.

Master Avenger was slow to begin.

Krakatoan and Uforo Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Uforo Bale. Master Avenger checked off Krakatoan on the first turn. Krakatoan checked off Houlio on the first turn checking Oforo Bale.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Santana - the winner of the event.

Dark Compass was slow to begin.

Don't Argue Love and Masked Avenger collided approaching the first turn checking Don't Argue Love. Tron and Quade Bale collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Real Reward and Masked Avenger collided on the first turn checking Masked Avenger and Dark Compass. Dark Compass and Real Reward collided in the home straight.

Masked Avenger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Masked Avenger - unplaced in the event.

Mr R Clark failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Max's Idol for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Papi Go Fast and Mepunga Daniel collided approaching the home turn.

Black Canvas and Namida collided on the first turn checking Black Canvas.

Crackerjack Dev was slow to begin.

Steve's Uggboot checked off La La Nebraska on the first turn. Gotcha Laz and La La Nebraska collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking La La Nebraska. Nitro Georgie and Hello Keen collided approaching the winning post.

Mastermind Kid - Trainer Mr J. Cooper was issued a warning for presenting a digital copy of the greyhound's identification card.

Seven Enemies and Show Of Force collided on the first turn checking Show Of Force.
