A pre-race sample was taken from Black Power.
Zambora Tara was slow to begin.
Milly's Last and Little Swagger collided soon after the start checking Little Swagger. Milly's Last galloped on the heels of Black Power approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Parumba Barty and Milly's Last collided on the first turn. Mt. View Sassy faltered approaching the home turn checking Little Swagger. Milly's Last galloped on the heels of Parumba Barty on the home turn. Milly's Last and Mt. View Sassy collided on the home turn. Zambora Tara checked off Parumba Barty in the home straight.
Mt. View Sassy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left flexor tendon. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
