Free Kick Hawks was quick to begin. Hard At It was slow to begin.
Horace Bale checked off So Joe Mac in the back straight causing Horace Bale and Prize Diamond to collide, Prize Diamond hit the rail and stumbled as a result. So Joe Mac and Hard At It collided approaching the first turn. Hard At It and Horace Bale collided on the home turn checking Horace Bale.
Prize Diamond underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have and injury to the right flexor tendon and right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
