Steward's Report
Burning Express was a late scratching at 7:34am by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged Mr Keith Kelly with a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr K.Kelly pleaded guilty to and was found guilty of the charge and was fined $250. The 28 days stand-down on Burning Express was revoked.
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Another Avatar with kennel representative name Mr A.Formosa and noted their comments.
A pre-race sample was taken from Rhymes Valley.
Zoe's Intention and Table Top collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.
Rhymes Valley underwent a post race veterinary examination at the Trainers request and was found to have a laceration to the right lateral tibia. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
There was no head-on vision available for this event.
