Steward's Report

All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements, and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter, Mr J.LaRosa did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

All Inn Libby and Alabama Cruise were slow to begin. Holding Hope, Little Nando and Tumbarumba Time collided on the first turn checking Little Nando. All Inn Libby and Alabama Cruise collided approaching the home turn. Holding Hope and Tumbarumba Time collided on the home turn, entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Tumbarumba Time turned its head to the outside and visibly eased in the home straight. All Inn Libby checked off Holding Hope approaching the winning post.

Holding Hope underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Riana Groom regarding the racing manners of Holding Hope in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Ms Groom, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Tumbarumba Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing on the left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Ian Beattie regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Tumbarumba Time was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Beattie pleaded guilty to the charge, Tumbarumba Time was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
