All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements, and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Finding Messio and Deed Of Shianne collided soon after the start checking Deed Of Shianne. Janet's Wish eased approaching the first turn. Janet's Wish and Palmistry collided on the first turn checking Kraken Pearler, Enzo's Girl, Janet's Wish, Tumbarumba Time, Palmistry and Dasha Tullamore. Deed Of Shianne, Palmistry, Tumbarumba Time, Finding Messio and Janet's Wish collided on the home turn checking Kraken Pearler, Enzo's Girl, Janet's Wish, Deed Of Shianne and Dasha Tullamore and severely checking Palmistry which fell as a result. Janet's Wish and Deed Of Shianne collided in the home straight checking Janet's Wish.
Palmistry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness in the hips. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Janet's Wish underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion and a spike wound to the left fore leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Neil Baker, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Janet's Wish was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Baker pleaded guilty to the charge, Janet's Wish was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
