Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade, Mr Ricky Glass did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Choir Magic and Cracked Soda collided approaching the first turn checking Cracked Soda. More Speed checked off the heels of Red Hot Lady on the first turn. Jodie's Boy and Cracked Soda collided approaching the home turn. Jodie's Boy checked off All Inn Freeman on the home turn. Cracked Soda checked off Rain Dance on the home turn. Cracked Soda and Rain Dance collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Rain Dance shifted in and visibly eased in the home straight checking Cracked Soda.
Rain Dance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right deltoid muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Simon Humphries regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Rain Dance was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Humphries pleaded guilty to the charge, Rain Dance was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
