Twilight Psycho, Holding Hope, Mr. Hillbilly and Speedy Deed collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Imagine Inn checked off Iron Hand approaching the home turn. Patons Road visibly eased on the home turn and lost ground. Patons Road and Iron Hand collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Patons Road turned it's head inwards towards Escape Inn and collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Patons Road and Iron Hand collided approaching the winning post.

Patons Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. A re-examination was declined.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. Vivianne Giles, the trainer of Patons Road regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Patons Road was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. Giles pleaded guilty to the charge, Patons Road was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

All Inn Pearl and Blackzin Prince were slow to begin.

Twilight Rogue and Brizo collided on the first turn checking Brizo. All Inn Pearl and Two Gears collided entering the home straight. All Inn Pearl and Killer Miss collided approaching the winning post.

Amnesty Girl and Tylden were slow to begin.

Innocent Gem and Return Serve collided on the first turn checking Innocent Gem. Amnesty Girl and Maddox Bale collided on the first turn checking Amnesty Girl. Tylden and Sonic Rainboom collided on the home turn. Maddox Bale and Tylden collided in the home straight.

Ocean Star was slow to begin.

Pandora's Hope was very slow to begin (3L) and took no competitive part in the event. All Inn Julie, She Can Fly, Titanium Teeghan and Ocean Star collided on the first turn checking Ocean Star, Titaniun Teeghan and She Can Fly.

Pandora's Hope underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and shoulder. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
