Steward's Report
Twilight Psycho was slow to begin.
Patons Road, Imagine Inn, Holding Hope, Mr. Hillbilly and Speedy Deed collided soon after the sstart. Twilight Psycho, Holding Hope, Mr. Hillbilly and Speedy Deed collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Imagine Inn checked off Iron Hand approaching the home turn. Patons Road visibly eased on the home turn and lost ground. Patons Road and Iron Hand collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Patons Road turned it's head inwards towards Escape Inn and collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Patons Road and Iron Hand collided approaching the winning post.
Patons Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. A re-examination was declined.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. Vivianne Giles, the trainer of Patons Road regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Patons Road was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Giles pleaded guilty to the charge, Patons Road was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
