Miss Kia Ora crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Elite Circle, Sing For Me, Killer's Bounty, Flossy Thelly and Highfield Zibia. Highfield Zibia and Killer's Bounty collided several times approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Cette For Speed checked off Aqua Lamont approaching the home turn. Miss Kia Ora checked off Aqua Lamont approachng the winning post. Cette For Speed raced wide in the home straight.
Highfield Zibia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil, quadriceps and wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
