Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Small Soldier.
Kamikaze Magic went up with the lids and was slow to begin.
Crystal Edition and Small Soldier collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Crystal Edition and Small Soldier collided approaching the 250m mark checking Small Soldier.
Small Soldier underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left shoulder. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Kamikaze Magic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right hamstring and the left shoulder. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Rodney Newell regarding the racing manners of Kamikaze Magic approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Newell, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
