Steward's Report
All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mystery Talent.
You Decide checked off Cruising Four soon after the start causing You Decide to brush the running rail. Run Machine and Sonny Cabang collided several times on the home turn and again entering the home straight. All Inn Pearl, Run Machine and Sonny Cabang collided in the home straight.
You Decide underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Sonny Cabang underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr R. Lund, regarding the racing manners of Sonny Cabang in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Lund, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
