Steward's Report
Ripplebrook Snip underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.
Max Black and Brave Traveller collided approaching the first turn checking Brave Traveller. Brave Traveller galloped on California Blond approaching the first turn checking Brave Traveller and Buddy Goes Bang. California Blond and Cosmic Gas collided approaching the first turn. Cosmic Gas and Ripplebrook Snip collided on the first turn. Brave Traveller and California Blond collided on the first turn. Buddy Goes Bang visibly eased on the first turn.
Buddy Goes Bang underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10. Buddy Goes Bang and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms. Loren Dalziel regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Buddy Goes Bang was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Dalziel pleaded guilty to the charge, Buddy Goes Bang was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
