All Staff & Participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds. 

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.2 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.4 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Hop Skip Skeet and Jilly Be Brave were slow to begin.

Hop Skip Skeet and Jilly Be Brave collided soon after the start checking Hop Skip Skeet. Leeroy Bomber and Gregarious collided on the first turn checking Leeroy Bomber. Pineapple Turtle and Fontella collided on the first turn. Leeroy Bomber and Fontella collided approaching the home turn checking Jilly Be Brave, Leeroy Bomber and Fontella.

Leeroy Bomber underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Electric Head – New declared weight of 36.8kg, last raced at 37.9kg.

Especial Edge, Three Kisses and Evil Entry were slow to begin. Three Kisses and Evil Entry collided on the first turn. Kraken Tyson and Unroadworthy collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Kraken Tyson and Evil Entry collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Kraken Tyson and Evil Entry collided several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

Pretty Mouse was quick to begin. Raw Attitude and Alinta's Gift collided approaching the first turn. Pretty Mouse and Capitis collided on the first turn. Double Up and Alinta's Gift collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Batman's Dreams.

Nova To Burn and Batman's Dreams collided approaching the first turn checking Nova To Burn. Kalkari checked off Follow The Que on the first turn. Grace Cabang and Follow The Que collided on the first turn. Hold The Line and Kalkari collided on the first turn. Nova To Burn turned it's head outwards and marred Veracruz approaching the winning post.

Nova To Burn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Kurt Burger-Trudgett, the representative of Nova To Burn regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Nova To Burn was charged with marring.  Mr. Burger-Trudgett pleaded guilty to the charge, Nova To Burn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Nicko In Paris, Send It Tucker and Nunniong Bear collided on the first turn checking Nicko In Paris, Huntly Star and Lucky Shiraz. Send It Tucker and Nunniong Bear collided approaching the home turn checking Send It Tucker and Lucky Shiraz.

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Remi.

Quirky Phoebe underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing. It was found to have an abrasion to the right hind toe and was passed fit to race. 

Sandy's My Name and Aston Remi collided approaching the first turn. Sandy's My Name and Kranskey collided on the first turn checking Sandy's My Name. Strategic and Aston Remi collided on the first turn. Strategic and G'Day Muscles collided in the home straight.

Quirky Phoebe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind toe. No stand down period was imposed.

Side Splitting and My Victoria collided soon after the start checking My Victoria. Grudge and Panel collided on the first turn checking Panel and severely checking Grudge and Quicker Than Joe. High Plain raced wide in the home straight.

Crispy Duck was slow to begin. Jindivick and Empire Baz collided soon after the start. Ride On and Blast Zone collided approaching the first turn. Any Luck and Storm To Burn collided approaching the first turn checking Storm To Burn. Ride On and Storm To Burn collided on the first turn checking Storm To Burn. Storm To Burn and Jindivick collided approaching the home turn. Blast Zone and Jindivick raced wide in the home straight.

Serious One and Aston Tallulah collided soon after the start severely checking Aston Tallulah. Ink Spot, My Rocky and Flying Brae collided approaching the first turn. Too Far and Ink Spot collided on the first turn checking Ink Spot and Flying Brae. Serious One checked off Gap Cabang approaching the home turn. Ink Spot raced wide on the home turn. Serious One, Aston Tallulah and My Rocky collided entering the home straight. Serious One and Aston Tallulah collided in the home straight.

Ink Spot underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling after the winning post, no apparent injury was found.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Kinloch Journey with Mr. Jye Formosa and noted his comments.

Kinloch Journey underwent a post-race veterianary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Woke Up Late and Saffron Gold collided soon after the start. All Inn Mia and Twilight Connie collided approaching the first turn checking Twilight Connie. Lektra Bear and Stagger Bott collided on the first turn. Market Legend and Woke Up Late collided entering the home straight.

Twilight Connie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right trapezius and abdominal muscles. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Kraken Courage – Late scratching at 7:15am when Mr. Thomas Murray reported the greyhound to have paw pad injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
