All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated building and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.2 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

A post-race sample was taken from Veracruz - the winner of the event.

Natsu Bale and New Samsation collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. New Samsation checked off Natsu Bale approaching the home turn.

Solar Charge underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal wrist sprain and an injury to the right biceps. A 7 day stand day stand down period was imposed.

Fletcher Jay underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have a laceration to the left thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stride For Pride underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right triangle muscle and right gluteals. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Canya Hurricane - New declared weight of 34.9 kg, last raced at 33.7 kg.
