Hillbilly Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds/abrasions to the hind paws and a left biceps injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mt. View Dodger was slow to begin.

Retro Reece, Midnight Fussed and Zanzibar Icon collided approaching the first turn checking Zanzibar Icon and Mt. View Dodger. Retro Reece and Miss Immy collided on the first turn. Retro Reece raced wide approaching the home turn and collided with Miss Immy several times. Midnight Fussed and Mt. View Dodger collided entering the home straight. Zanzibar Icon galloped on the heels of Mt. View Dodger in the home straight severely checking Zanzibar Icon.

Zanzibar Icon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right trapezius muscle. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford regarding the racing manners of Retro Reece approaching the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Whitford, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Wishly Bale with Mr Jye Formosa and noted their comments.

Flying Jezza and All Inn June were slow to begin.

Alpine Blaze and Wishly Bale collided approaching the first turn. Wishly Bale and All Inn June collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Alpine Blaze visibly eased approaching the winning post and collided with Karen's Word.

Alpine Blaze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right biceps. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jeff Galea, the trainer of Alpine Blaze regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Alpine Blaze was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Galea pleaded guilty to the charge, Alpine Blaze was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

I'm Poppy - Late scratching at 7.43am when Mr Scott Stefanos reported the greyhound to have a foot injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Posterior Chain was slow to begin.

My Name's Barry, Fast Fever, Ginger Meggs and Our Flying Bolt collided approaching the first turn checking Fast Fever. Sukhoi Su -Late scratching at 7.08am when Mrs Judith Worsfold reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
