All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds. 

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 19.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.1 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Dusty Knight and My Annabelle were slow to begin.

Galiena Bale and Sand Iron collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark.  Especially Eager and Sand Iron collided at the 100m mark.  Especially Eager visibly eased and turned its head outwards approaching the winning post.  Sand Iron turned its head inwards approaching the winning post.

Especially Eager underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind toe.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Elise Knott, the representative regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Especially Eager was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Knott pleaded guilty to the charge, Especially Eager was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sand Iron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4 and was found to have a left thigh injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mrs. Julie Chilcott regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sand Iron was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Sand Iron was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Persisted upon arrival at the course.

A pre-race sample was taken from Toby Where's Dad.

Limitless Vodka checked off Cool Stone at the 200m mark.  Persisted lost ground from the 150m mark.

Persisted underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Wow Anna and Zero Connection collided soon after the start.  Doughnut and Cayden Bale collided at the 300m mark.  Zero Connection and Lilah's Mac collided at the 100m mark.  Lilah's Mac and Allegra Bliss collided at the 50m mark checking both greyhounds.  Kuta Cowboy crossed out approaching the winning post and collided with Wow Anna checking both greyhounds.  

Kuta Cowboy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period wws imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr. Clint Leviston regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Leviston, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Master Febey and Lily Rose Jazz collided at the 200m mark.  Avery Charm and Master Febey collided at the 150m mark checking both greyhounds.  Kihikihi Star crossed in at the 150m mark and checked off She's A Looker.

McIvor Ernie and Super Rage raced wide from soon after the start to the 200m mark.  McIvor Ernie and Super Rage collided approaching the 200m mark, the 100m mark and again at the 50m mark checking both greyhounds, McIvor Ernie stumbled as a result. 

Totally Know – Late scratching at 10.25am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left front foot injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Prior to this event the outside temperature was 30.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.3 degrees.

This event was delayed by 1 ½ minutes due to track maintenance being carried out.

Steve's Uggboot, Challis Magic and Buck The Jockey collided at the 250m mark.  Steve's Uggboot crossed out at the 200m mark checking Challis Magic, Buck The Jockey and Electric Mick.  Steve's Uggboot and Electric Mick collided at the 150m mark checking both greyhounds.  

I'm Another Whiz was slow to begin.

Boes Bounty and Que Up collided at the 150m mark.

Golden Boy and Especial Empire collided at the 300m mark.  She's A Charm and Greysynd Spectre collided at the 250m mark.  Selynya Teddy checked off Especial Empire approaching the winning post. 

A sample was taken from Oakvale Cruiser upon arrival at the course.
